Nucor Building Systems offers column-free clear spans up to 220' for your aircraft hangar. Whether your needs include a large or light aircraft hangar, standard or asymmetrical design with panel or hardwall exterior, a Nucor Building can accommodate your requirements. The Nucor CFR™ roof system has achieved the strongest uplift ratings tested under FM 90 specifications. All of our exterior roof and wall panels offer PVDF paint options. PVDF reflects UV rays, which helps the structure lower the need to cool the building.

NBS buildings, with the exception of the Nucor CFR (and bare RPB), are made from Nucor Steel which is made from scrap. The recycled content of NBS buildings is published at 89% or above. The steel in NBS buildings is recyclable -  if the building is taken out of service, all of the steel could be made into new steel. NBS offers two standard white (SP Polar White or PVDF Regal White) CFR finish options that exceed the LEED Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) requirement of 78.

Nucor - A Green Company: Nucor is the largest steel recycler in North America. Last year Nucor recycled more than 20 million tons of scrap steel. Our steel making processes have much lower emissions than integrated steel making operations and energy consumption per ton of steel produced is much lower as well. Nucor Building Systems' products may contain steel from all of the Nucor steel mills including sheet, plate, bar and beam.
