The HeronLED Is the first desk lamp to be made from recycled ABS plastic that comes from e-waste, closing the loop. In addition to using recycled ABS plastic for the body of the fixture, the metal base is made from made-in-USA steel that is 70% recycled scrap.

Our LED lamps use only 4 watts compared to 30 to 40 watts that would be required to get the same amount of light from traditional light sources. The bulbs last around 50 times longer than traditional bulbs, reducing waste.

· Materials & Resources: The base, stem, arm, and shade of our LED personal task lights are all made from recycled plastic, sourced in California; the base contains recycled steel. In contrast to compact fluorescent bulbs, our LED bulbs contain no mercury.

· Indoor Environmental Quality: Our individual LED task lighting may help meet the LEED requirement to enable building occupants to "lighten up" (and down) - adjusting lighting to suit individual task needs and preferences.
