Trio-E:

Energy Efficient Steel Stiffened Door

assaabloy-trio-e_01a

assaabloy-trio-e_02a.
According to data from the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance, doors represent 11% of the overall leakage in a building.  When the Trio-E from CECO is combined with thermally broken frames and thresholds, it becomes a sustainable building solution that can eliminate infiltration and exfiltration in the door opening and guarantee that the building envelope is tightly sealed, even in the harshest environment.
.

The new Trio-E door is steel stiffened for strength, but achieved an operable U-Factor of 0.29, which is 50% better than other steel stiffened doors currently available on the market today. Most doors on the market use calculated testing to achieve their U values. Trio-E has been tested for operable performance under ASTM E1363 for thermal transmittance, easily exceeding the requirements of AHRAE 90.1-2007 and 189.1 for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings.

Trio-E doors installed with Thermal Break frames from ASSA ABLOY Group Brands and Pemko Thermal Barrier Saddles help increase thermal retention and reduce energy leakage. Trio-E has been certified to CA0130, California Section 01350. Trio E is also certified to UL ISR 102, Sustainability Requirements for Door Leafs, as Silver. This will assist LEED Pilot Credit 43.

Additionally, the
GREENGUARD Environmental Institute recently announced that ASSA ABLOY Group brands CECO, CURRIES, GRAHAM and MAIMAN achieved both GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification and GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certification.

.

Green/Energy Efficient Factors:
• Lowest operable U-Factor in the industry for a steel stiffened door (U-Factor 0.29)
• High recycled steel content for LEED points up to 57.1%
Injected polyurethane foam for superior insulation and energy efficiency
• Trio-E assists with these additional LEED Credits:

. - MRc4: Recycled Content - best in class at over 50%
. - MRc5: Regional Material CI
. - IEQc4.6: Low-Emitting Materials - Ceiling & Wall Partitions - tested to CA 01350 (doors are an integral part of ceiling and wall partitions and when they contact the interior envelope, they need to meet 01350 requirements - LEED S HC R
. - Pilot Credit 43 -
